Our teachers are qualified and registered teachers. They are passionate, caring and respectful. Plum Tree Preschool provides a safe and secure home away from home. We believe strong parent teacher partnerships form the foundations for quality early childhood education.
At Plum Tree Preschool, Kate is fortunate to lead a dedicated team of passionate educators who have worked together for many years. As a close-knit team of seven, we provide children with the consistency, security, and familiarity that help them feel safe, confident, and valued throughout their learning journey.
Each teacher brings their own unique strengths, experiences, and interests, enriching the learning opportunities we offer every day. We work collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting one another to create a warm, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Our strong relationships with each other, the children, and their whānau are at the heart of everything we do, helping to foster a true sense of belonging within our preschool community.
Kate Olsen - Centre manager
Qualified & Registered ECE Teacher - Tui Room (3–5 years)
Kate has been involved in early childhood education from a young age and brings a wealth of experience to her role as Centre Manager. Her interests include gardening, yoga, tennis, and spending time with her large extended family.
Jessica Crean - Tui Room (3-5 Years)
Qualified and registered teacher
I have a Bachelors degree of education (ECE). I have a passion for reading. I love musical instruments and creating opportunities where children can engage and learn about this.
Melissa Kelly - Fantail room (0-3 years)
Qualified and registered teacher. Currently completing my postgraduate Studies in ECE.
I enjoy spending time with my family, and enjoy the outdoors.
Toril Jamieson - Fantail room (0-3 years) + Tui room (3-5 years)
I enjoy time with my family, swimming and exploring the outdoors.
Courtney Love Dalhouzie - Fantail room (0-3 Years)
Teacher in training
I am currently completing my level 4 certificate in Early Childhood education. I am a mum of 3. I enjoy getting messy, digging in the dirt and exploring our world through interacting with nature, and seeing the world through the eyes of our children.
